The following is an overview of terms and conditions of use of our services. These terms are de facto in force unless otherwise altered by a written, official company document.
Our smaller package offerings (Doorway, Standard, and basic CMS) and small custom sites (under $1500 Canadian) require a minimum of 25% down prior to commencing work. A second 25% is due upon approval of site structure and page design. Assuming timely progress, the balance shall be paid when the site goes live.
Larger projects ($1500 Cdn and up), including our Premium package, will require stage-by-stage payment. We will establish specific terms in conversation with the client.
To keep our projects "on task," we reserve the right to require full payment within six weeks of commencing work on your site if you have not supplied us with all required site content. We believe this will motivate you to provide us with necessary content in a timely manner. Please note: This provision is only to ensure that content is supplied to us in a timely manner so that we can finish your site. We will never require payment of the balance owing due to either our own negligence or busy-ness. If you have supplied us with all required content, this requirement is void, and our regular terms apply. (Note: a longer term may apply to larger sites. Please refer to your individual contract.) Of course, your full payment for an incomplete site will not release us from the responsibility to complete the project once we have received all necessary content.
Chronic delinquency in payment (whether a balance for site development, or amount due for hosting and maintenance) may result in your site being taken down.
Our package maintenance plans are payable either quarterly or annually, both in advance. By choosing the annual option, clients will save 10% on all maintenance plans.
All hosting plans are annual, paid in advance. No monthly terms will be considered.
If you are hosting with us, whether via a maintenance package or hosting account, your site(s) will be subject to the posted limits for bandwidth and disk space. It is the client's responsibility to monitor disk and bandwidth usage, and request an upgrade if the limits are being approached. Accounts exceeding the specified limits will be automatically suspended.
If you are hosting with us and installing scripts/applications, it is your responsibility to ensure that you use only secure scripts. Note in advance that none of the following are allowed on our servers:
Please note that the above is not intended as a complete list of insecure scripts or programs. Determining security rests with you. Please be sure to do your homework prior to installation.
For the security of others on our servers, failure to maintain secure accounts may result in suspension of hosting.
We will not create sites that include objectionable content, such as obscene pictures, profanity, or similar material. Nor will we allow our clients to upload such content on our hosting packages. Violation of these terms will result in immediate suspension of hosting, without refund.
When we create a site for you, it is yours once full payment has been made. You are free to remove it from our hosting at any time. Responsibility for moving content and databases is yours.
Note: we do not offer pro-rated refunds on cancelled maintenance contracts.
